Hi Guys, sorry for all the trouble, we are in the process of upgrading our webservers and this demo site showed up in place of our normal page...we're working diligently to fix this and as John pointed out the index.html link does still function. Thanks to everyone for listening to the Range and hopefully our new site will be up and running very soon!

My wie and I were in jackson last Sept and found you on the radio. We were astounded to find such great music and to boot your being on the web. We loved the older music - Bob Wills, Hoyt Axton, Roy Rogers, Marty Robbins, Randy Travis' "cowboy" songs, Alseep at the HWeel - more of a western theme. But now you're heavily into the 60s country - nothing really wrong with that, but those songs can be heard on many vneus, while the other is almost impossible to find. We hope you'll find your way back to the format you had from late Sept into December. My wife is a native of WY but we're now in Canyon, TX. BTW, what happened to "Harvest Time"? We miss it!

If in fact you are a new group of owner's, please re-consider bringing back 103.7 to the way it was, a truly authentic western station that was such a pleasure to listen to.

Hello,
First to say I am listening to your station at the web and the sound is perfect (I am sitting at the computer here in Sweden). It was a couple of months ago since I last was listening to your station. The best was to hear the cowboys songs which you don´t hear much of these days on radio. I really enjoy acts like Rex Allen, Jr & Sr, Red Steagall, Sons of Pioneers, etc. The mix you had before with those ones and the more current stuff was excellent.
I guess it´s important to keep the western music alive, on radio.
I do have an country music show at Radio Avesta 103.5FM.
It is possible to find out playlists from your station?

I started listening to The Range 3 years ago and it was a big motivating factor in taking my wife on a trip out west. What made the station unique was the Western music that you could not hear anywhere else. If I am not mistaken, The Academy of Western Artists and Western Music Association recognized The Range for this. Your mix now, however, seems to be on older country, which I can listen to anywhere.
You used to be a bastion of western music, now it seems you just play old country. What happened to Cowboy poetry, Rex Allen, Jr., Patsy Montana, Sons of the Pioneers, etc? I started a station on Pandora that sounds more the "The Range" than you do.
Please go back to your old playlists, or I don't see much of a reason to listen to you anymore.
Thank you,
Dean Trimmer

Oh no! What happened to the unique format we've listened to for 4 years? Here in Atlanta we aren't able to get the type of music you used to play; now your format is similar to all the other country/western stations that fill the South! I always streamed it to my house; my Atlanta friends love it

Why not explain yourselves? I echo the statement by Dean Trimmer of GA: I don't see much reason to listen to you anymore.

It is a few days short of 1 year since we were in Jackson and found The Range. We listened on line for a few months until the format changed (see comments above). Thanks for paying attention to all the comments urging you to go back to your roots. It is great to hear at least some of the original format - we missed Bob Wills, Ian Tyson, Hoyt and others. It is kind of disappointing what happend to your station. You are NOT the same 103.7 I have been listing for the last years over the Internet here in Germany. We miss the OLD authentic 103.7, Roy, Gene, Tex and Rex and so one.
If you are a new group of owner's, maybe you want to re-consider bringing back a little 103.7 to the way it was, a truly authentic western station that was such a pleasure to listen to. After 5 times in Jackson on vacation I loved to listen. Even recorded it for having you in my car while driving to go skiing in the Alps. Now with this makeup it is one of many country stations and lost all of its outstanding.
I will still listen over here but hope for a little change. New is no always better. Are the comments for the Old 103.7 so bad?? So why change?
Many of the other comments I can fully agree.
Hope for the best, GOOD OLD DAYS of 103.7 THE RANGE.

There is an old saying: "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT"!
What was good and attracted many individuals, like myself, was the "old style" country music you used to play. IT WAS GREAT!!!!!
Today's country music is hardly even a resemblance to what used to be. We can find that on any station -- but yours WAS DIFFERENT and that was what set you apart. Now you sound like any other station!

I moved out here last year and immediately fell in love with your radio station. I heard so many songs that I had never heard before from several different decades. Then it seemed to change in the spring, and more of your music was from the 70's and 80's. please bring back more of the old-timers, I really love hearing them and no one else is playing them. It would also be amazing if you could add a daily play list to your website, since you don't really say the names and artists of your songs on the air. Thank you.

I am older than most and younger than a few. I have listened to more country stations than most. Your station is probably the best that I have ever heard. I really miss the promo - REAL COUNTRY - REAL WESTERN that Rex Allen, Jr. would do as it really made me feel that I was standing right there next to the Tetons! For a while, you got away from the Western format and it really troubled me. I am glad that you have reinserted that format. You must realize that many, many people listen to you because you are unique. There are thousands upon thousands of country music stations but none that I have listened to play the Western format that is unique to The Range. With the expansion of the internet as a means to receive your signal, you should take a hard look at the opportunities this means for you not just in Victor and Jackson but really worldwide. Just tonight I sent your link to over 370 friends. Keep up the good work and please bring back the promos with Rex Allen- I grew up on his father and later his voice!

I really miss the "Real Country, Real Western" classics The Range used to play. I found your radio station on my honeymoon in Jackson Hole and have been a listener for four years. My home is in Tennessee, but love the Jackson area. Streaming The Range on my computer helps put me in a Rocky Mountain state of mind. The current play selection can be found on any other classic country station, but The "Old" Range was one of a kind. Can you begin playing again the western country that made The Range so unique?

Hello,
My name is Kevin Larkin. I was, until recently, a voice of morning or weekend weather forecasts on Radio Forecast Network (RFN), the service that provides your recorded weather. In fact, I may have recorded forecasts for your station or a station in your cluster.
The reason for my writing you is to offer some insight on the labor practices of Radio Forecast Network.
The sole reason why I am no longer a voice of forecasts is that the company has failed to pay me for my work. The company employs announcers in 2 ways. First, some announcers are paid in barter dollars which can be spent on items on a barter website. Other announcers, like myself, are paid cash for every point a weather forecast is worth. The cumulative points equal dollars and are theoretically paid monthly. I have not been paid for forecasts dating back to February. I am aware of other cash paid announcers have not been paid either.
This is not the first time in my employ with RFN that this has happened. Based on comments regarding RFN posted on the web, this practice is not new. My attempts to the bring this matter to the attention of RFN's owner and operation director via phone or e-mail, are ignored. They are seemingly insensitive to the financial concerns of their paid announcers.
I bring this to your attention to make you aware of the business practices of a company your station does business with.
If RFN is selling the time they have available through their barter with your station or cluster, the company is not using the revenue to satisfy their financial responsibilities.
I have been in broadcasting for nearly 35 years. I've worked for stations that have been run on a shoe string and had trouble paying their employees. Who of us hasn't? But Radio Forecast Network is by far the worst. Their failure to live up to their agreement to pay announcers has affected numerous hard working, talented people.
Thank you very much for your time.
Regards,
Kevin Larkin

You make it very hard to listen and try and try to get you over the web.-Now there is a signal but no music.
I wonder if anyone of the "New" 103.7 try to listen over the web to your own radio station and solve this problem.-
How can you want us to listen, but there is nothing to listen to. No information, no answer, no word about the difficulties.
I hope that someday someone reads it, cares about the problem and solves it, even if I am not the typical listener but returner to Jackson.
I loved the Station as may others in the world.

Guys!
Everyone loves your station but we can no longer receive it on-line or locally in Jackson on the radio. What has happened? Please, if you are still operating this web site, let us know if you are history or if you will return? Obviously, there are a lot of people out there that would like to see you return

Like your music but miss the older cowboy music tracks you used to feature.
On gripe; you cut off the tails of songs! Sometimes, the best part of a song is the last little bit. It is jarring to hear the tail cut off when the next song starts. A one second space would be appreciated. Since you have very little advertising, it wouldn't cut into your paid time.

John Sidle,
How are you pciking up the station? I can't get the net to connect to it anymore. I agree, also, I liked the older cowboy music.

Guys,
I've been trying for weeks to get the station on-line, but it never works saying that the server is wrong or discontinued. Is that an incorrect diagnosis by the computer, or are you no longer running to recieve the station? this was the only place I knew of to get this music, so if anyone knows of another place, I would appreciate it.

Hi there
the comunity of willing listeners.
No station to listen on the internet! Tried so many times so many computers and DSL lines. Definetly no way to receive the signal over the web.- Why?- no answers from 103.7 on the webpage.
If anyone knows why or where to find the radio signal on the web, please post it.
I would also appreciate.
-good old days of "103.7 The Range"

We listen to 103.7 every day. We miss the old format! You seem to play the same list of songs in the same order every day
with few exceptions. Give us some good ole Tex, Rex, Roy, and Gene!ERWZ

Every one understands that today's life is not very cheap, but some people need cash for different issues and not every person gets enough money. So to receive some loan or just small business loan should be a right solution.

I had hoped to be able to listen to your radio station again, but still no connection, and it looks like I'm not the only one. I try every few month, but to no avail.... wish you would fix the problem or post a response on your page and let us know what is going on.

Hey Elisabeth
Thank you for this super idea!
At least they give us this platform to comunicate-
Now Rangerradio.com will be the station to listen to.
Somehow it reminds me of the old 103.7
The same voices, the old songs. Love it over here, Germany
Have a great winter season over there in Jackson and lots of snow for all.

Rangeradio.com is just about as good as 103.7 used to be. Another one to check out is "Cowboy Cultural Society". It seems to be a rerun of old "tapes" of a DJ from a station in CA. I belevie she passed away but her shows are still being palyed. A lot of good musice you'll hear nowhere else, but after a few weeks you stsrt hearing the same thing over again. Still worth checking out on occassion.
